Hi there! My name is Chloe and I am one of the speech-language pathologists on the Chatty Therapy team! I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters in speech-language pathology, and am currently completing my PhD within the same program. My dissertation is examining alternative language assessments for English Language Learners, in order to identify optimal learning contexts for these children. As a speech-language pathologist, I have worked in different settings with both adults and children, and an area that I am most passionate about is providing family-centred therapy in order to help families feel empowered and apart of the team. I want to make sure that therapy is fun and engaging, so I typically arrive with a variety of activities and ideas to follow what’s most engaging and motivating for your child!

Hi! I’m Christine. I’m ready to team up with you to take your mealtime and feeding struggles from stress to success!

As a Registered Occupational Therapist and mom to three young kids, I understand how disruptive and difficult feeding and mealtime struggles can be. Whether it’s picky eating, behaviour concerns, sensory issues, introducing solids or general meal time stress, I’m here to empower and enable you to achieve your feeding and mealtime goals.

I have a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy and a diverse clinical history treating individuals and families with feeding and mealtime difficulties. I utilize a holistic assessment approach that allows me to identify; then target the unique struggles that you and your child may be experiencing. This includes identifying impairments in body structure and function, and evaluating psychosocial, environmental and personal elements.

My goal is to make therapy not only fun but practical and simple so you can use strategies in your busy life long after our work together is done. I conduct creative, individualized, evidence-based therapy to achieve specific and achievable treatment goals that support the needs of your entire family.

When I’m not feeding my own children, you can most definitely find me outside: camping, working on a yard project or going for a walk.

I can’t wait to meet you!

Hello! My name is Rita, and I am so happy to be part of the Chatty Therapy team!

I graduated from the University of Alberta with my Masters in Speech Language Pathology, as well as my Graduate Certificate in Rehabilitation Medicine, Francophone Practice for SLP. Since then, I have experienced working in various settings, namely in acute care, tertiary rehabilitative care, clinic, community health, and in private home environments. I have enjoyed working in groups and one-on-one, in both virtual and in-person settings. My experience ranges from preschool children in areas of early language development to end-of-life care in the area of feeding and swallowing.

My favorite population is that of adults with aphasia and/or other acquired language disorders. My expertise also lies in dual language development at the preschool age, and I absolutely love working with diverse, multilingual populations!

I like to approach my work from a family-oriented perspective, as I believe it is crucial for a client and their family to be involved in their speech therapy goals. I look forward to supporting clients and their families through their personal communication goals, in a fun and effective manner!

Hi there! I'm so grateful to have joined the Chatty Therapy team as a volunteer! I am finishing my last semester of a Bachelor of Science with a Specialization in Psychology at the UofA and hope to be accepted into the Speech-Language Pathology program in the next couple of years. I have always had a passion for neuropsychology, child development, and working with kids. I believe SLP is the path for me as I am passionate about promoting bilingualism and empowering children as communicators. Outside of school, I work part-time as a respite worker working with kids on the spectrum and other communication disorders meanwhile providing support for their families. In addition to Chatty Therapy, I have had the great privilege to represent fellow psychology undergraduate students as part of the Undergraduate Psychology Association at the UofA. Lastly, I love to go on walks/runs and read books whenever I can, and hope to do some more once I'm done with school!

Hi I'm Grace.

Chatty Therapy was established out of my desire to help families feel confident in knowing how to help their loved-ones. Supporting a loved-one who has speech, language and feeding difficulties can be stressful and overwhelming. It can be hard to know what the next steps are, or how to help our loved-ones improve. Our team of qualified speech-language pathologists are here to help!

Our goal at Chatty Therapy is to be a practice with passionate speech-language pathologists who fully tailor their support to help clients meet their therapeutic goals. We want our clients to be successful in all the various environments they might experience and all the opportunities they have for participation.

I believe that therapy is most effective when it incorporates the client's interests and matches the skills they need in their daily life. We collaborate with families and their community networks to determine appropriate goals, treatments, home practice activities, and follow-up options. We value research, and we strive to provide the most current research-based practices.

I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology. My experience includes working with families of infants to school-age children with speech and language difficulties, children with autism and adults with aphasia. I have also completed a thesis on "Pairing reading treatment with transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) for adults with aphasia".

Hi there! My name is Cindy and I am excited and so happy to begin helping children and families in the Edmonton area. I graduated from McGill University and have worked with babies to adults, with my main focus being on preschool and kindergarten age children specializing in the areas of Autism Spectrum Disorders, literacy, language delay and phonology. I love empowering families as their child's best teachers through a lot of play, conversation and fun! I am currently the only certified PLAY Project consultant in Alberta and use the methods, techniques and activities of the PLAY Project (based on Stanley Greenspan's DIRFloortime model) with all of my students since it lays the groundwork for all successful communication. I value continuing education and have earned three ACE awards through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association thus far which equates to over 200 extra hours above and beyond the certifications and requirements listed below. I find so much joy in helping children communicate to the best of their abilities and I look forward to moving forward on this path with Chatty Therapy.

When I am not working with children and families, you can fnd me teaching Zumba or yoga classes, chatting with my three children or curled up in bed reading a good book with a mug of tea!

Hi! I'm Stephanie. I am excited to be a part of the Chatty Therapy team!
I graduated from the University of Alberta with my Masters in Speech-Language Pathology and completed a thesis project focusing on bilingual speech assessment. Since then, I have worked in a variety of settings with both children and adults. What I love the most is being able to help parents feel empowered to support their child's speech, language, and literacy development at home. I typically come with some prepared activities and games, but am always excited to see where things go and to follow your child's lead - I want therapy to be functional, fun, and motivating for your child! I am particularly passionate about using books in therapy and will always encourage home reading ... but don't worry, I have lots of good tips and tricks to take the focus off reading levels and to create a rich shared-reading experience for you and your child.

My name is Ciara and I’m excited to be apart of your journey with Chatty Therapy.

I graduated with a master’s degree in speech language pathology from the Univeristy of Alberta. Since then I have gained experience in many areas of child communication including articulation, phonology, motor speech, early language, language delay, alternative and augmentative communication, and social communication as well as feeding difficulties. I have experience working in home, clinic, acute, and pre-school settings as well as in virtual environments. I have developed great interest in acquired speech, language, and swallowing difficulties in adults. The senior population holds a special place in my heart as before becoming an SLP, I worked closely with adults living in care who demonstrated a range of abilities.

I am passionate about providing client and family centred services that help clients achieve meaningful goals. I love to work with people of all ages and backgrounds. I strive to make treatment session fun; whether you’re 1 or 99, there’s always a way to reach your goals while having fun!

Providing clients with evidence based intervention is a main priority of mine and I always strive to find the most practical and appropriate approaches for each individual client. Continuing my education and consistently bettering myself as a clinician is extremely important to me as I grow and develop as a speech language pathologist.

Hi! I’m Adriana.
I am a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for working with families and their little ones on feeding and mealtime struggles. My clinical experience ranges from working with premature infants and their caregivers in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to working with older children/teens and families in an outpatient setting.

As a mom to two young kids myself, I understand what it’s like to balance all the needs of a child. This understanding of family life is why I want to ensure treatment goals, strategies, and schedules work for each individual family and their needs. My goal is to empower you to take the strategies that we work on together so that you are able to use them in your child’s day-to-day routines, whether that be at home, school, daycare, or elsewhere.

In addition to feeding and swallowing, I also have clinical experience in assessing and treating children and adults with speech and language difficulties.

Whether it is speech, language, or feeding, I always have my clients and their family’s best interests at the centre of every therapy session and will always strive to provide fun, evidence-based, and functional strategies for you to use with your child!

Hi there! My name is Pam and I’m so excited to be part of the Chatty Therapy team!
I’m passionate about working with children and adults on their speech, language, and feeding development. Over the past couple of years, I have worked with children in the beginning of the preschool years, all the way through to adults in their end-of-life. Whether it be one-on-one in your home, the community, acute or long term care, or even through a screen, I strive to ensure the session is fun and functional for the client and family I’m working with. I believe that client and family centred services provide the greatest development towards meaningful goals and lasting growth.
I have a wide range of growing expertise in early language development, articulation, alternative and augmentative communication, fluency, deaf/hard-of-hearing populations, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, feeding/swallowing management, as well as social communication. Continuing to grow my skills and improve as a clinician is an important aspect of my career as a speech language pathologist!

Hello, everyone! I'm Faye, thrilled about the incredible opportunity to join the therapy team as a volunteer. Currently, I'm a student at the University of Alberta, majoring in psychology with a minor in linguistics. My focus lies on individuals who've experienced traumatic brain injuries. At a speech-language pathology event, I encountered a stroke survivor who highlighted the often-overlooked nature of communication disorders. If someone can move around but encounters difficulty expressing their thoughts and needs, then how will they be able to effectively communicate their basic necessities? This realization sparked my interest in acquired communication disorders, and I aim to apply to the speech-language pathology program next year.

Presently, I work with Alberta Health Services as a support worker in continuing-care homes. My experiences with elderly residents facing dementia have given me valuable insights into how this condition significantly impacts communication.

On a personal note, I am deeply passionate about self-improvement—be it physical, emotional, or spiritual. I am constantly exploring new avenues for growth and enhancement.
